One Year in Vancouver.
I wrote this around the time I was hitting my first year in Vancvouer. Bluntly Iforgot all about it. So enjoy.
I left Ireland on May 9th, 2023. I'd known for a few years that I wanted to explore more of the world. I'd been saving for this big change for a while, but the rising cost of living and housing crisis in Ireland accelerated my desire to leave.
Bowen Island
In the summer of 2023, shortly after finding a place to live, I had my first visit to Bowen Island. It was during the peak of wildfire season in Canada, and the skies were an eerie shade of orange. Despite the unusual atmosphere, we decided to explore the island.
